The Product Design program offers students an opportunity to make a real impression in the world. The production process involves developing a design from initial concept to a commercially feasible solution worthy of commercial production. The program enables students to become multidisciplinary designers using their creativity, critical reasoning and design process to generate innovative ideas and products.
To design for current and future markets students will learn about factors including human needs, ergonomics, production systems, materials, design operations, social factors and sustainability.
The Program is delivered by professional educators and industry experts so that our graduates gain practical insights into the world of product design. The program focuses on the functional and aesthetic qualities of design. Students study design principles, colour theory, space planning, drafting, material, industrial standards etc.
